SNAZZI is an extraordinary half-size PCI add-in card which allows you to record (encode) and playback (decode) full-motion MPEG-1 digital video with perfect audio synchronization in real time. These video clips can then be stored on your hard disk, removable cartridges, or writable CD-ROMs. What is MPEG-1? MPEG-1 is an industry standard digital video compression/decompression format. It stands for Motion Pictures Expert Group (Standard 1), and has been endorsed and adopted by many companies, such as Microsoft, Sony, Hitachi, and IBM. MPEG-1 is capable of reducing video files to 1/200th of their original size, making is practical to store them or transmit them over the Internet.
